OFGH - Organization
Board - A Board of Directors oversees the operation of the Old Fashion Gospel Hour. The Current Directors are Elder Bobby Pitt, Chairman and Coordinator, Eld William Sanford, Vice-Chairman, Elder Don Curtis, Clerk, Brother Jason Lambert, Treasurer, Elder Hillman Duncan, Elder Dean Dyer, Elder G. W. Knight, Elder Ottis Jones, Elder Ron Spurgeon and Brother Steve Wheeler.
Staff - A staff of seven persons prepares each program. Persons that assist with the program donate their time and travel expenses. The OFGH staff meets around 1:00 PM on scheduled Sundays to prepare the programs. Some volunteers are available for one taping per month and others work at each taping. One church per hour is scheduled beginning at 2:30 pm. This provides time for one church to leave, another church to get in place, and the staff to prepare the equipment for the next program. On a typical Sunday afternoon, three tapes are prepared.
In addition to Brother and Sister Pitt, many people have assisted with preparing and distributing the tapes for the OFGH. Brother and Sister Pitt prepared a list of several that have assisted, but they were not sure that the following list is complete.

Marilyn Spicer, Sis. Mary Stokes, Bro. Jimmy Suttle, Bro. David Woodard, Bro. Mick Woodard and Sis. Sue Woodard.
The current staff members, assisting Brother Pitt include Bro. Darrin Campbell, Bro. Kenneth Daughtry, Bro. Michael House, Bro. William Sanford, Bro. Jimmy West, Bro. Elan Wilkerson and Bro. Ottis Jones. In addition Bro. G. W. Knight and Bro Dean Dyer fill in for Bro. Pitt to introduce the program.
Recently, Sister Pitt has been limited due to health issues and requested that the Board select someone else to serve as treasurer. February 1. 2008, Bro Jason Lambert became treasurer of the Old Fashion Gospel Hour.
Bro. Gary Hall has assisted the OFGH in upgrading our technology and has served as webmaster for several years. On February 1, 2008, Brother Jason Lambert became the new webmaster.
Bro. Ed Hardee recently passed away after many years of dedicated service to the Old Fashion Gospel Hour. A few weeks before he went to be with the Lord. The Board passed the following resolution:

REGARDING THE SERVICE AND DEDICATION OF
BROTHER ED HARDEE
WHEREAS, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ deserves all honor and glory, and the Old Fashion Gospel Hour exists to give Him honor and glory; and
WHEREAS, Brother Ed Hardee's purpose, since the Lord gave him sweet peace, has been to give honor and glory to our Lord; and
WHEREAS, Brother Ed has used his God given wisdom, talents and time in the preparation for and recording Old fashion Gospel programs for many years; and
WHEREAS, when everyone else went home after the recording session, Brother Ed remained to finalize the day's work. He also kept the equipment in good working order, purchased and donated many items, copied and distributed media to broadcast stations and coordinated with the stations, staff, Chairman and Treasurer of the Old Fashion Gospel Hour; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors, Chairman, Treasurer and staff of the Old Fashion Gospel Hour desire to recognize Brother Ed's service to the Lord.
WHEREAS, that the Board of Directors of the Old Fashion Gospel Hour offers prayers of thanks and extends its deepest gratitude to Brother Ed Hardee for his dedication and service to the Old Fashion Gospel Hour for the honor and glory of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Harvest Missionary Baptist Church hosted a benefit singing for the Old Fashion Gospel Hour in March, 2008. During the singing the Board of Directors presented a resolution expressing gratitude for Brother and Sister Pitt and their work as follows:

WHEREAS, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ deserves all honor and glory, and the Old Fashion Gospel Hour was formed and exists to preach His Gospel and give Him honor and glory; and
WHEREAS, the Lord called Brother Pitt to preach His Gospel and in 1975, led him to start the Old Fashion Gospel Hour television program; and
WHEREAS, Sister Pitt has always supported Brother Pitt and the Lord’s call serving as treasurer of the program for over thirty two years; and
WHEREAS, Brother and Sister Pitt served the Lord as follows:
- They began the program in Crossville with Brother Pitt preaching and Sister Pitt singing. They often paid for the program themselves.
- When they could no longer see any way to continue, they gave up the work, but calls from viewers convinced the station owner to work out arrangements to continue the program.
- Russell Hill Missionary Baptist Church, their home church, many brothers and sisters and a host of Missionary Baptist churches have supported the program.
- They faithfully operated the Old Fashion Gospel hour in Crossville, the Rutland Church building in Mt. Juliet, Longview Missionary Baptist Church and a building on the square in Hartsville.
- They were led by the Spirit to finance and construct a building and to give the building and a lot to the Old Fashion Gospel Hour for a permanent home.
- By the leadership of the Spirit, they also formed an organization to continue the Lord’s work in the future and requested a group of Missionary Baptist brethren to serve as a Board of Directors.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the Old Fashion Gospel Hour desire to recognize Brother and Sister Pitt’s faithful dedication and service to the Lord.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Old Fashion Gospel Hour Board of Directors, looking forward to their continued service, offers prayers of thanks and extends its deepest gratitude to Brother and Sister Pitt for their faithful dedication and service to the Old Fashion Gospel Hour for the honor and glory of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
